Gucci Luxurious Moisture Rich Lipstick: Nude Satin and Exposure

Many of you had asked me for swatches of these gorgeous Gucci Beauty Luxurious Moisture Rich Lipstick. It’s too bad there’s no way to get them in Canada but those of you in the United States or other countries, you have better luck at getting your hands on them! I went to United States for vacation, and of course, being a makeup addict I had to drop by the Gucci Boutique and pick up some Gucci products! These included 2 of their Luxurious Moisture Rich Lipsticks in shade Exposure (#300) and Nude Satin (#340).

Left: Exposure | Right: Nude Satin

The packaging is to die for! The housing is black and gold with the Gucci logo at the top. Once you open it, the tube is printed with the Gucci signature GG grid. There is also a GG logo embossed at the very top of the lipstick making it soooo hard to dip in! Below are the swatches of the two!

Nude Satin on me is more of a MLBB shade (reminds me of the Christian Louboutin lippie that I bought, reviewed here) whereas Exposure gives more of a cool toned pink to my lips. Both are moisturizing and pigmented. Super creamy and glides on the lips effortlessly! It feels amazing to have these on!!

Have you tried the range of Gucci lipsticks? Are you eyeing any?

Tom Ford Lips and Boys: Addison, Austin, Jake, Ansel, Julian, Drake

Hello lovelies!

Quite a few of you have asked about seeing swatches of the Tom Ford Lips and Boys collection that came out in late 2015. So I have decided to create a post with the swatches of the 6 boys that I have purchased (which included two from previous collection). They are called boys because each of these lipsticks are name after men that played a significant part in Tom Ford’s life.

The Tom Ford Lips and Boys ($44 CAD, 0.07oz)

The shades I have chosen are mostly pinks/rosy nudes with the exception of Drake which was the star of the 2015 collection. All of the boys are richly pigmented and creamy, glides on the lips smoothly and feels completely luxurious.

Hi lovelies! So I’m a bit late jumping onto the Sunday Riley skincare bandwagon! I’ve heard so many good reviews on their Luna Sleeping Night Oil and Good Genes Treatment. When they announced a new cream that contains brightening technology and provides maximum hydration, my hands were up in the air saying “me me me me, I must have this!!” So here it is, introducing the Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream. It retails for $85CAD for 1.7oz at Sephora.

Etude House: Look At My Eyes eye shadow and Pink Vital Water Serum

It’s Etude House Pink Bird Box again!!! March’s Box is just full of Spring vibes!! Those that know me already, know I’m in love with Spring collections as it’s got the most floral designs and pastel tones. Now let’s get right into the specific items of this box! The box came with 4 Look At My Eyes eye shadows, 1 eye shadow palette (case), 1 bottle of Pink Vital Water and a box filled with samples from the Toning White C line. You can buy all the products on their global Etude House website!

The Spring limited Look At My Eyes collection called “Flower Lesson” includes 10 eye shadows and a very pretty case that lets you depot the shadows from its single case into a palette of 4. Below illustrates how you can depot the eye shadows (picture from Etude House Official). Continue reading

Burberry Beauty: London With Love Blush Highlighter

There’s a few items this Spring that I’m really loving. Being a blush and highlighter addict, when I first found out Burberry Beauty’s London With Love collection will release a blush version, I was super duper excited and had to get my hands on one! And I did! This limited edition blush highlighter was supposed to come out as part of their Valentine’s Collection. I’m guessing because of the heart shape design. However,  in North America, it’s being released as part of our “Summer” collection but was released in late March. Burberry made a boo boo? Not sure, but I’m just happy it was not limited to releasing in certain countries! It currently retails for $72CAD at Sephora.ca and there are still some stocks left! (UPDATE: checked again right before I posted this and it’s no longer available) I know the US site already sold out within minutes it was posted.

As I mentioned, this blush highlighter is part of the London With Love collection which also consisted of a bronzer. The bronzer has the exact same design except the color tones are different, of course.

I was attracted to this blush highlighter most by its design as it’s just so gorgeous and cute! I was actually a little hesitant since the pink seems a little dark for my complexion. Both shades (the darker pink and the highlighter) have amazing color payoff. The pink shade is a medium-dark pink, almost poppy red but leaning towards the pink side. The highlighter is a pale beige with a luminous sheen. The texture of both is super soft and smooth. Very easy to blend and mix together. Below, I have swatched the two colors mixed, the lighter shade alone and the dark pink shade alone. As you can see, it is very easy to overdo your look with the dark pink shade if you are not careful. Remember to use a light hand if you are fair skined!

image

Personally, I love the shades mixed together. It becomes a glowy, lit from within pink shade that looks absolutely flattering. I may also only wear the lighter shade alone as highlighter on my nose bridge, cupid’s bow, top of cheekbones on top of another blush etc. I am very satisfied with this purchase!!

Did you get your hands on this too? Or did you get the bronzer version?

Tom Ford Spring 2016: Disco Dust Eye Shadow Quad

Is it just me or do you go goo goo ga ga over Tom Ford’s palettes too? I had my eyes on two Tom Ford Spring 2016 quads…Honeymoon (reviewed here) and Disco Dust. Disco Dust retailing at $80USD or $93CAD is warm neutral palette. If you love warm neutrals, you cannot pass up on this one! Good news is that this quad is part of their permanent range (though it did sell out fast like Honeymoon, but my SA reassured me they will restock!). So it’s ok that it is out of stock at the moment, do check back frequently at your local counters or tomford.com to see if it’s available! I’m not sure why it is called Disco Dust, but surely, the top left shade reminds me of Disco lights!

LANEIGE BB Cushion SPF 50+ Broad Spectrum Sunscreen

Cushion foundations seem to be a trend that is hitting non-Asian counties lately with many big brands (such as YSL, Dior, Bobbi Brown) starting to come out with their own cushion as well! I really like the concept of cushion foundations, it’s easy to use, amazing finish and great for touch-ups! So what exactly is this “cushion technology”? It’s actually been around for yearsssss in Asia starting in Korea. I believe all the Korean cosmetic brands offer cushion foundations now. The idea  of cushion foundation is that you press the puff with your fingertips onto the sponge (cushion) that is soaked up with liquid foundation. Then you pat onto the face giving a flawless finish.

Here, I will be reviewing the LANEIGE BB Cushion

Now, it claims to be a 5-in-1 foundation compact, so let’s explore these benefits first: Continue reading
